Calix's wave is just about the greatest thing in the world. It's like he's tickling the air. So he tickles the air and says "nigh nigh eryon..nigh nigh ma-ox" (if you seriously don't understand that.."night night everyone..night night Maddox") and then continues to say night night to everything on the way up to bed ( sippy cup..). It's our routine and I think it's one of the sweetest things ever.

Calix is also getting to the stage where he wants to climb in and out of the car on his own. Oh crap. Yesterday, for the very first time, he refused to let me help him out of the car when we went to go pick up some formula and diapers. It took a while, but he shimmied out of his carseat and then made his way to the pavement. It was totally cute..and at least it's *just* wanting to get out himself so far. Soon, not only will it take the 3 of us until 2 to get out of the house..but until 2:45 to get out of the parking lot. Can't wait for that one..lemme tell ya.

Also? Maddox totally slept in his crib last night..for the first time ever. As much as I love having him tucked in next to me..I was really starting to crave being able to roll over..or just sprawl out. Plus, he totally needs to be used to his bed before Orion gets home (43 days!!!!!)..because that totally won't fly. We want to cuddle with eachother and not have a baby in the middle. But, he slept from 10-4 and then woke up for some food..and then again till 7:30. Let's hope all of the nights will be like that..or better..from now on!

That's a big step, going to the crib...a little bittersweet. Dontcha just love how toddlers want to do it themselves? It's so "helpful". :)
