Day is never over..

omg omg omg.. I'm *so* tired. We were out for 8 hours going to all of these antique stores that I've been wanting to visit since we've been here. Orion and I are convinced that some of them stole our toys from when we were kids. We did, however, end up buying Calix this mint condition Radio Flyer tricycle. Yes, we understand he's too small for it right now..but holy crap..for 17 bucks? yoink! I finally got a picnic basket (I've been wanting one for so long now!). It's so perfect! Then we went to some weirdo Antique/Flea market thing in Elizabethtown and out of *everything* there, I found a few cute signs and like.. a decent smelling candle. That's not to say I didn't find huge pieces of furniture I almost felt like I couldn't live without..because I did. I really did. BUT.. there's only so much room in my car. Grams says next time I find big pieces of furniture I want..but obviously can't transport in my lil Buick Century..to call her because they have a trailer and would totally come down and pick them up for us. LOVE HER.
On the way back to post, Orion drove through this nature preserve that's right down the road from our gate. oh. my. god. I could totally hide some bodies there. Jokes..jokes. I can't wait to go on a lil picnic there or something along those cute little lines. Then, we headed to the commissary (I know I said I was going to go a couple of days ago..but really? too tired/lazy/drunk to) and spent a little over 2 hours there because there were so many ingredients on the list of things I'm making for the next 2 weeks..that I didn't own..and a few that I had *no* idea where to find. BUT! It all worked out (ehh..still 2 things I couldn't find..but..whatever)..and now my fridge and cabinets are full of delicious items. I'm also aware that yeah, I may have spent a little over $250 there..*but* so many of the groceries are basics..and now that they're out of the way..the next shop shouldn't be so bad.
I'm thinking about calling my mom's friend Nightshade that lives not too far from me..and asking her if she and her lil one (he's like..2 months younger than Calix) would maybe like to go to the Louisville Zoo with us on Monday. My mom keeps hasseling me about calling her.. so I figure..let's just go to the zoo and see some animals with our kids or something. I wouldn't know what else to do with her..seeings as she's about 20 years older than me.

Anyway! I'm just really happy that Orion listened to the things I had to say last night..and he actually spent an entire day with me and Calix..instead of playing stupid fucking video games...and ya know, we had *fun*. That's really all I wanted.
