Real quick..because it IS Friday night and I have a darling to curl up and be scared of zombies with tonight.. but dinner? Was absolutely delicious.

I started it at 8am this morning..slicing potatoes and what not. Potato Chowder in homemade Italian Bread Bowls and a last minute idea for salad turned into greens with sliced pears and a homemade raspberry vinaigrette. I wasn't even sure if it was going to be edible..but good golly, fresh and crisp and yum!

And dessert was Cookie Sundaes. I just scooped chocolate chip cookie dough into a muffin tin and baked them up that way and topped with vanilla ice cream and chocolate syrup.

Today was a very special day and called for a special dinner and dessert. Orion finally had his NCO induction ceremony (he thought he'd gotten out of it all of those months ago..but they didn't forget!) and normally, I would be posting pictures of the whole thing but there was a transportation issue and there was no way O would be able to come pick me and the boys up beforehand. I felt awful. I really wanted to be there to show love and be proud..but turns out, no one else's family made it, either. It was recorded and will be played on the military channel soon. I'll watch it then..but in the meantime, I have 2 new certificates to hang up on the upstairs hallway wall. Go Orion! I love you, darling!

I don't have ramekins, either. I used a muffin tin! Resourceful!
