Poor Maddox! His cough is the saddest cough I've ever heard!! His sneezes! Oh my golly..the poor little guy!
My throat hurts..and I'm coughing a little bit. So..that's cool.

Hey sweet Abs,
I read your entire blog last night and thoroughly enjoyed it. Even cracked up a few times, and got to know you a bit better. I love you! Hey, that sickness stuff... I'm not kidding here, take LOTS of vitamin C. Like take a loading dose of 5000mg and then take another 1000mg every 3 hours. It will fight off the infection in you and it will go into your breast milk and keep Maddox healthy. Also, try not to worry. Little guy may not even be sick. New babies have mucous in their lungs for a few weeks after being born and they have sniffles and sneezes and coughs that sound like a cold, but they aren't. So hang in there and take your C! I mean it! Tentative Lyndsay dates are March 9-15. If I was there, I'd make you some homemade chicken noodle soup and rub your feet while we watch a cool chick flick. Nurse that baby a lot so he has extra immune protection! And tell Calix to get better quick and stop sharing germs!

ah, yes...but Jenna = my sister. I'm fairly sure after 4 kids she knows a bit about what she's talking about. And I think the 5000mg has to do with me breastfeeding, ya know? Kinda like..I'm still pregnant and things are upped a bit for the kiddo. That sounds about right..yeah.
Way to stick up for me, Abbadoo! :) Sorry about your friend's reaction, (very unusual though) and of COURSE a doctor would say that. Doctors shmocters. :) Anyway, your body will use what vit C it needs and discard the rest, it's true. It's VERY hard to overdose on C, because it isn't stored in the body. IF you've taken too much, and I've yet to have this happen with much more than 5000mg at a time, then you'll get diarrhea. That's it. Then you know. You don't take this much all the time, just when you're sick and it works wonders! Even with 5 other kids here going to different schools and whatnot, my baby has yet to be sick and he's 6 months old! Knock on wood. I can only take so much, ya know?
