I adore my little family. Did you know? Days around here are spent teaching letters and numbers and playing games and coloring and cuddling and just generally being together. Call me clingy..but I like that sort of thing (and I know it won't last forever, either..so I'm taking it while I can get it). The kids and I (and this week Orion, too) sit outside after nap time on sunny days and enjoy a popsicle..we watch the clouds and I watch their imaginations grow. I cannot believe how smart and just gosh dang *cool* these kids are getting..and they're *mine*?! I've never felt like I've won anything greater before in my life. I always knew I wanted a family..but I never imagined it would be as wonderful as it's been.

I cut his hair that night haha aww what a sweetheart!

Calix got these flippers from Orion's mom's ex-boyfriend for Christmas when he was like a year old because Orion loves to scuba dive and what not. Well..they finally fit! Soon he'll get to try them out at the beach..see how that works out.

last night after dinner, Orion and I were outside playing with the kids and then Orion was getting fresh with me..touching my butt ("Cuddle, you haven't said I was getting fresh with you since we were dating!" awww!!) and then I grabbed the camera because it was just one of those evenings I wanted to remember. The boys climbed up onto our bellies and I took a picture of all of us laying on the boys' little trampoline. Maddox is covering his eyes from the flash..but I totally love this picture.

Today for lunch we had BLTs (low sodium bacon)..I'm in love with the lemon basil mayo it calls for..it just puts a zest in an already obviously delicious sandwich.

Now, a couple of weeks ago, Jenna and Hannah were talking about making my mom's recipe for Sour Cream Blueberry Cake..and they wanted Amanda and me to join in and bake it in our own homes (kind of like we're all in the kitchen together baking the same thing..which we can't actually do as we all live way too far away from one another.) and then we would all blog about it at the same time. Well, I was still doing the boot camp for The Supermarket Diet and couldn't veer from it so mine had to wait. They said they would save their pictures and when I made mine, we would all post (Amanda, are you going to play along?). Anyway, I made mine this evening!

I actually drizzled a light lemon glaze over the entire cake

Hello, darling. Oh, it was just divine! Orion sat at the table groaning about how delicious it was while I was taking a couple of pictures. So yummy!

Now that we're all well fed, it's time to go read to my children and get them nestled into bed so I can beat my husband at some games. <3>

Nothing to say except that I love this post.

Oh, and Blogger doesn't want to let me comment. Third try.

Abby! Here we waited for you and then you go and post your picture without warning us? You're grounded! I do love however, that you made it in a bundt pan. Great idea.

Awesome picture of your family too. It makes me so happy to hear you so happy in motherhood/wifehood/life. It's the best of the best, isn't it? And it just gets better.

YUMMY BLT!

Hey hey..no scolding me! My Facebook status yesterday said "Jenna..Hannah..it's time. I've finally made mom's Sour Cream Blueberry Cake" or something along those lines. I guess I should have waited until you both confirmed that you saw it. It won't happen again.

I see. I hope you know I wasn't really mad. We were just waiting for you, and had hoped to do it all together, but it's no big deal. Although I can't stop thinking about how clever it was for you to make yours in the bundt pan. Seriously. Why didn't I think of that? Such a simple change, but the perfect change!

So, now I'll have to put mine up. But my pictures stink compared to your awesome camera.

xoxo!

Of course I know you're not mad, silly!

I was on the phone with mom asking if I should use salted or unsalted sweet butter because I had both and she said she always used regular butter..but I used unsalted..anyway, I asked her if I could use a bundt pan for it and if I had to adjust the time because of it..but she didn't really know because she'd never tried to make it that way. It was a total experiment, really..but the time ended up being just about the same. Ugh, it's so yummy!

And shoot, it's not the camera..it's just me. And maybe partially the camera. Okay, it's the camera. *sigh*

Well, it's you too, for sure. But I like to think that I could take a good food picture IF I had a nice camera like you. But alas, I am happy to have a camera at all, thanks to Dad and Raelene. :)

Okay, my post is up. I want to link to yours and Hannah's once she has hers up.

Looks way scrumptious Abby.

Hey I had a dream last night that Orion and I got in a fight. I woke up all disturbed.

You and Orion got into a fight? Haha..about what? He's not a big fighter unless attacked first..so I'm pretty sure you have nothing to worry about. :)
