Day 198

What I waaannnntttt...

is a Kit Cat Klock. Ya know, for the kitchen. I've been staring at them for a while now..and well, wouldn't it be swell? Perhaps someday.

The kids have their first day of daycare on Monday! It took a bit of searching to come up with days that I can have both boys there (otherwise..what's the point?)..so they're scheduled to be there every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday for the rest of the month. So, that'll be good.

What was even more difficult though..was getting an appointment with the dentist that goes around those times and days. I ended up getting one for the 17th at 11..which means I'll need to call the daycare again and see if I can bring the kids in a half hour early. I don't think it'll be a big deal. The receptionist was like "and what's the visit for?" or whatever she said and I said "umm..I guess a check up and to figure out a game plan because I need a lot of work done. Like.. a lot a lot.". She was quiet for a while. Maybe she wrote that all down word for word. That'd be funny. But, of course, we can only actually GET that work started if I can get Orion home for a bit of time. I really don't see why they'd let me go any longer with what I have goin on in there. It's just bad, man..really super awful. I think I might even give the dentist a panic attack..or maybe he'll be excited to get to put what he's learned to use. Maybe he won't even have a clue where to start. At any rate..all of this stuff is not anything I can just stick the kids in daycare for a couple of hours for. Nope.

So, this should be fun. Mmmm..dentists...

Well, with any luck at all for you, your boys will not get the poor dental genes. Unfortunately, Rylie has pulled it on us. (bad dental gene-ness runs in my family too.) I get to take her to the dentist this Saturday for a "big" cavitiy in an ADULT tooth! UGH! She's only 8!! They were saying that it may end up needing a root canal even. Yikes! Oh well...better to get it taken care of I guess, than to have it breaking out of her mouth over the next 10 years, the way mine and Josiah's seem to.

The worst is not knowing and letting your mind wander to the outer reaches of possibility. Once you've had the exam and the dentist says, "Okay, we need to do this and this and this," you'll feel better. And I know you guys have bad teeth but I don't think it's unfixable or even the worst thing he's ever seen. I doubt your mouth will end up on Discovery Channel, you know?

So, good -- you've got an appointment and things are rolling at last.
