I'm not saying they look fantastic..because mannn are they tight. BUT! They're on..and buttoned..and are sitting where they should be sitting. I write about this because I was terrified I'd gone up soooo many more sizes. Apparently, I'm okay in that department. Only..not okay, because even before Maddox I needed to lose all kinds of weight. But whateva..whateva..don't rain on my parade. They. Fit.
Speaking of rain.
Today was all kinds of crappy. It rained like..all day. Calix? Wouldn't nap. Calix = CRANKY. So cranky that he literally threw a big book on the history of weapons at Maddox. While I was upstairs. Going potty. I tell ya..you leave a kid alone for a couple of minutes and BAM! Big book to the head! Screaming! This job gets better and better..lemme tell ya.
Maddox is okay..probably just a bit traumatized. Calix was sent to his room.
I'm just glad the kid part of the day is over. I was really starting to feel like I must be the worst mother ever...because Calix spent the majority of the day crying. It was just *that* much fun around here.
And when I had finally found enough time to take a shower..mid scrub the lights go out. I panic and immediately think Calix found an outlet in his room without a safety cover..or that he pried one of said covers off and stuck something in the holes. I did a crappy job of rinsing off and jumped out of the shower to see if he was okay. Oh..he was. He was sitting on the floor in the hallway tearing playing cards up. I put some clothes on and did the waiting game..okay, we don't pay any utilities so..what's going on? Why is it taking so flippin long to put the power back on? I glanced outside to see if anyone else was reacting to any kind of a power outage (because ya know..when power goes out..you totally go outside.)..and everything looked normal. I waited a bit longer and then called maintenance to see if maybe it was just our place that went out and like..well, if that were the case could someone come over and flip it back on because I haven't done that since I was a kid and have *no* idea what to flip.
The guy seemed irritated. I obviously wasn't the first to call. Anyway, a transformer (robots in disguiseeee) (had to. sorry) had blown or something and ALL of Fort Knox was out. The power company had been called and blah blah blah it was probably going to take a while. The whole thing lasted a little over an hour. An hour too long, I say. Worst. Hour. EVER.
You know how many clocks I had to reset?
Seven.
I guess the day could have been worse..ya know..if someone needed stitches or something. It just makes me so sad that things were going *so* well for a couple of days and then today happened. I want to blame it all on Calix being so tired..or the crappy weather.
Yeah, it's all the weather's fault. Jerky weather!
It's okay..you can say it. You can say I help make the cutest babies ever. Trust me, I won't mind. I'll also agree with you.

Yep, very cute babies! I recognize those blankets and burp cloths from Raelene...we have tons of the same! I LOVE them, and Conor does too. He's a thumb sucker, and the burp cloths make the best-sized blankies for rubbing on his face while he sucks his thumb and sleeps. And that little sleeper he's wearing? Conor had the same one! I miss him fitting into it! He's just a big chunk now....
Yay for you fitting into jeans! And sorry Calix is being so rough on you. Lyndsay gets there in one week and hopefully will help that situation with some attention for Calix. Hang in there, Mommy! You're doing great!
Love you!
