Walking Fever

Let's get to the point.

HE WALKS!!!! I mean, he's taken a step before (that's right..only 1) but today?? AHHH!! We were sitting on the floor playing trucks and things of the such..and then the kid stands up (oh, not the pulling up to stand thing anymore)..and falls so I tell him to stand back up because when you fall you have to get right back up again..so he stands..stares at me..waves..I wave back AND THEN HE STARTS WALKING OVER TO ME!! ..and then the phone rang and it was Michelle so I picked it up like "AHHH!!! he's walking!!!!!" and she starts screaming and cheering and she can tell I'm about to cry but I don't.. I don't. I hold my own. And it's not like it was a fluke few steps either..because after lunch, he totally started taking all sorts of crazy wobbly..Rugrat type steps and lemme tell ya..it just blows my mind. I clap and cheer and say "Yayy!!! mommy's so proud of you!!!" Because dangit..I am. I was starting to think he'd like..never walk. Ever. But the educational development lady I spoke to a few weeks ago told me that because he's 2 months preemie..they consider him 2 months behind until he's 18 months old. So, I suppose if we're talking technical terms here..he would have started walking at 1o months..and that number? Makes me happy.

EEEE!! I can't wait to tell O when he calls later on! He'll probably say something like "that's my little man!" cause he's hot like that.
