Jiggle jiggle

Well...that was...interesting. I woke up around 5:35 or so to the house shaking..doors rattling. It was straight up squeaking. I was like "Orion!" and he jumped out of bed "it's an earthquake" "I know..but in Kentucky??" because I'd never heard of one happening here even though I know it's possible to have one anywhere. I was still a little buzzed from the wine..and was stark naked. All I could think about was what if we had to go outside and I'm this naked? How embarrassing. It continued to rattle the house for a few minutes before slowly tapering off. The kids slept through it..but maaannnn it was loud!

I put clothes on after that waiting for an after shock..which hasn't happened yet.

Ugh I hate earthquakes! We get them here all the time :(

Glad you're ok!

I saw that on the news. We're still waiting for The Big One that's long overdue here. I hope it keeps on waiting!

I heard about that, but didn't know it sprawled that far. But, Abs? If you have another one, ever, don't go outside. Of course, they don't usually last long enough to go *anywhere,* but if you can do it, stand In a doorway, in the house.

Or so they tell us here, in Quake Central.

No, I know not to go outside.. I was meaning like..ya know..if it was so bad (because they were talking about that possibly being a before shock and not the actual quake..though we know now that was the actual one) that stuff started crumbling around us..I'd pretty much grab my babies and leave if I could. Ya know..after it was all said and done if our house had fallen or whatever..I would eventually have to go outside. And trust me..no one wants to see what the stork saw!
